Fremont County Sheriff’s Office responds to crash-3 juveniles injured

FREMONT COUNT, Wyo. -PRESS RELEASE 1/09/2021 (Wyoming News Now) -

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a tragic vehicle crash that occurred on Gabes Road in Fremont County on Friday evening (1/08/2021). The Fremont County Sheriff’s received a 911 call at around 5:45 p.m., reporting a one vehicle crash. When deputies arrived on scene, they observed that the vehicle had crashed into a power pole and power lines were laying on top of the vehicle and on the ground nearby. Due to the live power lines, first responders were forced to wait for the power company to de-energize the lines before they could assist the injured. Two occupants of the vehicle were injured in the crash as well as a Good Samaritan that had attempted to help the occupants of the vehicle and subsequently sustained electrical injuries. Two of the injured persons were transported from the scene by ground ambulance and one by air ambulance. The conditions of the injured parties are not known at this time. The Wyoming Highway Patrol is assisting the FCSO with the investigation of the crash.

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office would like to commend the efforts of all the first responders at the scene of this incident, including Fremont County Fire members, AMR Medics, and Classic Air Medical Flight Crews as well as several citizens who offered assistance.

All three of the individuals injured in this incident are juveniles, our thoughts are with the injured and their families in this difficult time, we hope for full recoveries for all involved.
