CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Wyoming Rescue Mission residents and guests enjoyed an Easter feat of ham, potatoes, and more. They are grateful for this opportunity to serve.

“We had a donor order some custom hams that we are excited to serve,” said Brad Hopkins, Wyoming Rescue Mission executive director. They are able to feed people staying with them and more with the help of 50 community partners.

“We do a lot of outreach letting folks know about the opportunity here. We help people coming out of prison and people in bad situations,” Hopkins said. Last year they hosted this meal, but on a smaller scale. Hopkins adds this meal represents overcoming challenges from last year.

“The Lord helping us out and celebrating the whole reason for Easter,” Hopkins said. Wyoming Rescue Mission is grateful to provide a place to stay and hope for days ahead. “No matter the circumstances and no matter how difficult and devastating there’s always hope and there’s always a life resurrection,” Hopkins said.

Wyoming Rescue Mission will host another meal at 5 p.m. and will go back to their regular schedule.
