CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Casper Police Officer Don Crow has given over 30 years of his life to public service.

On Tuesday, he was honored prior to the Casper City Council meeting with a final call. Members from the Casper Police Department and Fire Department gathered to take in the special moment.

In a surprise twist, it was his son letting him know what to do on the other end of the signal.

Crow was a member of the Casper FD for 23 years, and he has spent the last nine years with the Casper PD.

“I’m going to remember that the city of Casper is very dedicated to its employees and its citizens and trying to merge both together to make a community for all of our children to grow up in,” said Crow after receiving his final call.

Casper Chief of Police Keith McPheeters presented Crow with a plaque honoring his service to the city after Crow’s final call, and he said that the department would miss Crow as one of its training officers.
