CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Casper Mountain Rehabilitation and Care Center is allowing residents visits with two people for 20 minutes by appointment only. These appointments can be made seven days a week.

Stacey Hult, the admissions and marketing director, said they did their best to do virtual visits. “We use FaceTime, Skype and Zoom. Every room has a landline so we encourage families to call their loved ones every day,” Hult said

Visitors also had the option to see them through the window. “They have to be on the phone and the window has to remain closed. They have that in-person option just with that window in between them,” Hult said.

Since COVID-19 cases are going down, visitors can come to see loves ones inside in person. Their policy requires them to protect themselves and loved ones. “They have protective equipment like a mask, gloves and gown,” Hult said.

A COVID-19 vaccine isn’t part of the policy, but they are encouraged. “There is a good portion of our residents who have it along with our employees,” Hult said.

They are also opening other parts of the facility. “We just opened our dining area back up this week so the excitement is very high,” Hult said. Loved ones can’t come in and eat, but residents can eat with each other.
