CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - College National Finals Rodeo will return to Casper on June 13-19. Community members can buy season tickets on April 23 and individual tickets on May 7.

A release says CNFR brings in hundreds of college rodeo athletes who compete in saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, bull riding, tie-down roping and more. Last year’s event was canceled due to the pandemic. Brook Kaufman, the Visit Casper CEO, said she’s noticed more people in the visitors office and people who want to get out of the house.

Kaufman adds half of the CNFR spectators come from out of town and the other half are local. CNFR also brings about $1.9 million dollars to the tourism economy. During this week, about 25,000 tickets are sold because people go multiple nights.

Kaufman adds she loves CNFR because Casper comes alive. “Our community is just on fire with all of the activities and neat people in town,” Kaufman said.
