Things have finally warmed back up after a week that started with some snow and then saw temperatures gradually increase with a slight up and down pattern. Friday brought multiple rain showers and some snow showers to much of the state. The clouds have hung around into the weekend, but the temperatures do feel like spring as well. These warmer temperatures will carry into the start of next week, but the cloud cover will likely hang around until the middle of the week thanks to another system rolling in Monday night through Tuesday.

For Sunday, expect temperatures into the upper 60s and lower 70s with mostly cloudy skies. There will also be plenty of wind to accompany them, especially in the middle of the state. Casper will likely see sustained speeds of over 30 mph on Sunday with gusts over 50 mph, and Laramie and Riverton won’t be too far behind. Cheyenne is somehow going to be left out of the worst of it for Sunday, with sustained speeds not expected to exceed 20 mph very much Sunday afternoon. Come Monday Cheyenne will join the wind party with sustained speeds upwards of 30 mph and gusts between 40-50 mph. Casper could see sustained speeds of over 40 mph on Monday with gusts over 60 mph.

Monday will also be a cloudy one with temperatures hanging in the upper 60s. As mentioned above, there will be plenty of wind across the state to go along with it. Monday night however the next system will begin to roll in, bringing rain showers to the northern half of the state during the late evening and overnight hours. The rain may shift into snow overnight Monday for the higher elevations, but most locations should not expect to see snow. Tuesday will be filled with rain showers, especially during the afternoon hours. When temperatures drop towards freezing Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, some locations like Cheyenne and Laramie especially may see the rain shift into snow. This should clear out by Wednesday morning and the clouds by the lunchtime hours the same day. Tuesday will also be the coldest day this week with highs ranging from the mid 40s into the lower 50s.
