CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Every summer Casper Parks and Recreation publishes an activities guide to help people plan their summer activities. The guide is updated each year and is put together by the parks and recreation staff.

Casper Parks and Recreation Director Tim Cortez said the guide is a “one stop shop for people to figure out what is happening in Casper.”

“If you’re family oriented and you got kiddos and you’re wondering what is there to do in Casper, this weekend, or in the future or whatever, this guide will kind of give you ideas,” said Cortez. “And it will also steer you if you’re looking for information that’s already in your mind.”

The guide is available online on the city’s website, or you can check out the PDF here. It can also be accessed on mobile phones.

There is a plethora of information about what certain facilities are and what they offer. It also provides an idea of what certain activities will cost.

It also has information about important dates with events to mark on the calendar for special summer events.

“Having grown up here, I can just tell you there’s a lot of things that exist that I never knew they did, and I’ve lived here pretty much my entire life,” said Cortez. “So I think it’s just interesting to see that there’s just way more that Casper has to offer than you can imagine.”

Physical copies of the guide can also be picked up at the Casper Recreation Center front desk.
