Saturday Evening Weather
June 19th, 2021
Temperatures in our area have been above average over the past couple weeks, but they are beginning to trend much closer to the averages for this time of year. In Cheyenne today, the high temperature was 82. That is only a 4 degree increase from the normal temperature of 78 degrees. In Casper, the high was well above average still at 91 degrees. This high in Casper is 13 degrees warmer than the average of 81 degrees. A much needed cool down is on its way after this weekend.
Parts of our viewing area got to experience some scattered showers this afternoon. Some of these systems even produced a couple rumbles of thunder! Clouds and rain began clearing out during the early evening hours. As far a rain goes though, that’s not all folks. Tomorrow, June 20th, more rain is headed our way. It will be nice morning and early afternoon to celebrate dad on this Father’s Day. A cold front will make its way through the state tomorrow moving from the North to the Southeast. This front will carry showers behind it though, as it makes its way through the Cowboy State. Clouds will begin moving in around 2p and will become partly cloudy by 4p. The rain chance is expected to begin in the early evening hours. A few of these system have the potential to become severe in the over night hours, as they continue towards the Nebraska panhandle.
Temperatures for tomorrow are going to feel quite comfortable compared to this past week. The temperatures will be in the 70s and low 80s for the southern portion of the state. Cheyenne and Casper are expected to reach a high of 72 degrees. The northern half will be in the 60s to low 70s. Buffalo and Yellowstone N.P. will be the cool spots for the high temperatures tomorrow at 60 degrees. This trend of comfortable temperatures will continue on into next week for most of the state.
