Durbar Indian and Nepalese Bistro hosting free community luncheon
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Durbar Indian and Nepalese Bistro is celebrating their anniversary by giving back to the community that helped support them through the taxing time of the pandemic.
The restaurant opened peak pandemic last year, and has been serving authentic, Indian cuisine to the Capitol City crowd without pause. Bir Raut, General Manager of Durbar said despite the challenges the restaurant has faced, it has been rewarding to be able to offer something delicious and unique to the community.
“When the customer walks into the door, they feel it is friendly and we provide really good service - It is very authentic. When we opened the restaurant, people say ‘Hey, Indian food won’t make it in a small town,’ but we made it. I’m so proud,” said Raut.
Sunday, Jul. 18, the entire community is being invited to attend a free, community luncheon at Durbar. From 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., guests can swing by and dine together, buffet style.
Raut said the reasoning for the luncheon is to celebrate Durbar’s loyal customers, and to invite members of the community to try something new for themselves.
“I want to say thank you to everyone who came here a lot and supported us. We never did any advertising; it is just word of mouth - and we succeed.”
Durbar is located in the strip mall on East Lincolnway.
