CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Lighthouse Baptist Church welcomed new faces to their Vacation Bible School this week.

43 members of Eastland Baptist Church from Tulsa, Oklahoma came to Casper for their Youth Mission Trip. They are spending the week volunteering at the church for this year’s Vacation Bible School.

Nate Britt, Lighthouse Baptist Church’s Pastor, used to attend Eastland, so the volunteers are excited to support them with their church here.

Throughout the week, volunteers from both Lighthouse and Eastland guided children through different activities. Volunteers served as group leaders, activity coordinators, and even just as witnesses to see the excitement the children had.

Melody Donegan, an Eastland Baptist Church member, said watching the children grow in their faith during this week has been one of her favorite parts.

“God has called us to go out into the world and preach his gospel and if that means driving 17 hours to Wyoming then that’s what’s He’s called us to do. Our motivation is to be a light and we want to do as much as we can to share the gospel and reach lives,” said Donegan.

If your child is interested in attending Vacation Bible School at Lighthouse Baptist Church, there is one more session Wednesday from nine to noon.
