CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - In the Kelly Walsh team room Monday afternoon, Ari Plorin put pen to paper to make her college sports dreams come true. She signed with the Western Nebraska Community College softball program.

Plorin has also played volleyball and basketball, and she even played midget football until junior high. On the softball field, she stood out for the Trojans this season and was an all-conference selection during the inaugural season in the state.

She said that she didn’t give Western Nebraska much thought at first, but ultimately, it was an easy decision.

“I went there for a tournament for travel ball, and then, the coach got a hold of me, and then, I went and visited,” said Plorin. “I fell in love with the school and the town.”

In addition to being excited to continue to play softball, Plorin said she was excited to travel and find new opportunities in college.
