Central Wyoming Hospice hosts Governors Invitational Golf Classic
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Central Wyoming Hospice hosted their ninth annual Governors Invitational Golf Classic this afternoon at the Country Club in Casper.
“This year is kind of special. You know, last year we had the tournament but it just felt so different. This year, we can come back and be together as a community and say, you know we’re here to celebrate and support hospice, and I’m so happy we’re able to do that,” said Kilty Brown, the Executive Director of Central Wyoming Hospice.
The tournament serves as one of three big fundraisers for Central Wyoming Hospice. Governor Gordon and former Governor Sullivan took to the course to help support the cause. The golf classic encourages legislature and community members to come together to celebrate and support this non-profit.
This year’s event featured 27 teams. There were over 120 people present to help raise money for hospice.
Central Wyoming Hospice is celebrating 40 years in the community.
“I’ve always so appreciated the work that our staff does at Central Wyoming Hospice. Until you’re there and until you really come to a situation where you need them, you don’t understand the work that they do but they are outstanding. And I’m so glad to support them,” said Bill Landen, a member of the Wyoming State Senate.
Central Wyoming Hospice is thankful for the community they receive each year.
