CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
Lots of clouds and showers were taking place across the state this morning. Another system is pushing through the state today, which is allowing the formation of the clouds and showers. Even of the radar and satellite now, a lot of these showers are maintaining since the system is moving so slowly. This system will eventually reach the eastern border and bring scattered showers to the southeast corner.
Smoke is continuing to be an issue in the state. Air Quality Warnings are still in place today, but only along the eastern border. These warnings for air quality are in effect until Friday (today) at 1PM. The Fire Weather Watches for yesterday have now been replaced with Fire Weather Warnings today. These updated Fire Weather Warnings are in effect until Friday (today) at 8PM.
Smoke has been a big issue for quite a while now in the Cowboy State, and though it is not going to go away, we are going to see it lighten up some. Many people are sensitive to smoke in the air, which makes it difficult to be outdoors for long periods of time. This weekend, smoke is going to decrease a little. Today, the heaviest areas of smoke are along the eastern border. Though it is the area of heaviest smoke, it is only at the moderate levels. Saturday afternoon, smoke will be at high and heavy levels in the northeast corner and along the southern border. Sunday is going to be the best day to get outdoors, as the most heavy smoke conditions will be along the western border.
Temperatures tomorrow are going to feel great compared to temperatures we saw a week ago. The high temperatures are going to be ranging from the 70s to the mid and upper 80s. Sunday is going to be a little warmer than Saturday, but with the lessened smoke conditions you have got to make a trip outside.
