Smoky Today, What Tomorrow?
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
Though we were not seeing as many clouds in the sky today, the sky itself was still very difficult to be seen. Heavy smoke was seen throughout the state. All of the smoke in the sky made things look blurry in the distance. Many people have sensitivities to smoky conditions, so today was not the day to spend much time outdoors.
With all of the smoke, several Air Quality Warnings are continuing today and into tomorrow. The southeast corner has the Air Quality Warning in effect until Sunday (tomorrow) at 12:15PM. All of the other Air Quality Warnings are in place until Sunday (tomorrow) at 1PM. The smoke does not seem like it is going to clear much any time soon. As we continue with the trend of warmer temperatures and drier conditions, Fire Weather Warnings are going to continue being in place. Today, there is a Fire Weather Warning for the southwest corner until Monday at 8PM.
We have not seen many clouds today, and they will continue being sparse until tomorrow afternoon. The skies are going to be clear through tomorrow morning. When the clouds do arrive tomorrow afternoon, they will not be heavy. The clouds will be light and scattered throughout the sky.
Temperatures today were comfortable and mild. The temperatures are ranging from the 70s to the mid 80s. The low temperatures tonight will range from the 40s in the northwestern corner to the 60s in the northeastern corner. 50 degree low temperatures will seen throughout the southern half of the state, with an exception of Laramie. Tomorrow, we are going to see another warm up. The warmest temperatures will push back into the upper 90s. Those warmest temperatures will mostly be found in the northeast corner of the Cowboy State. High 80s and low 90s will continue throughout the next week.
