University of Wyoming announces plans for Fall 2021 semester

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees met Wednesday morning to discuss plans for the Fall 2021 semester.

The semester will follow a traditional set up with in person classes and activities. The university will require everyone to wear masks indoors until September 20th. The Board of Trustees will meet again before then to see how campus is looking whether or not to extend that date.

All students must take a Covid-19 test at the start of the semester. The tests are planned to be administered at a location on campus.

“Safety of our community here really is their top priority and really has been throughout this whole thing. You know, there are certainly people on campus who aren’t going to agree with the course that’s chosen here, but it’s like well, you know, it’s not being done for any various purpose this is really all about trying to keep people healthy,” said Chad Baldwin, the Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications for University of Wyoming.

University of Wyoming starts their fall semester August 23rd.
