CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The John P. Ellbogen Foundation is ready to give $70,000 a year for three years to a school district or a community partner that is meeting the organization’s qualifications.

Becca Steinhoff, the executive director, said the winner of this award must be a Wyoming organization willing to learn what kids need. “Are they food insecure or having mental health challenges, or do we need to help support [the students] well being and resilience and or are they having a hard time with physical challenges,” Steinhoff said.

Other qualifications for this grant are that the group needs to be working to strengthen services and support for students. Steinhoff said the Elbogen Foundation wants to give this money to as many schools or partners as possible. “We’ll start with these schools in this community and then in year two we would think about how to extend some of that work across the broader school district,” Steinhoff said.
