CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Visit Casper is launching the first Business Challenge for tourism in Natrona County.

Visit Casper says this idea has been in the works for several years now. The challenge encourages businesses to find ways to reach more visitors with products or services.

Visit Casper hopes this opportunity can help existing businesses elevate and grow, while helping new businesses get started.

“On a good year, we see over 900,000 people come through our market. So for us what it helps do is just to close the gaps on the service side. So again, if somebody has something they’re looking for, and we don’t have it available, this is our opportunity to say, hey there’s a real market for this, we’d love to help start this business, or serve visitors in this way, or grow in this way,” said Brook Kaufman, the CEO of Visit Casper.

To apply for the Business Challenge, one must reside in Natrona County and have an existing business OR idea for a business that would grow visitation in the area.

Ideas must be submitted by September 24th and then will be sent to a semi-final and final round with a panel of judges.
