Shift In Forecasts
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
It is another hot day today in the Cowboy State. Luckily, today is the going to be the hottest it is going to get more most of the state. After today, there is going to be a shift in the forecast from hot and dry to cool and wet.
Lots of clouds will be making a move in this afternoon. These clouds will be sticking around through the overnight hours and even into tomorrow. The clouds are likely going to be described as overcast, especially as they continue into the morning hours.
Tomorrow, there is also the chance of rain. Rain showers are likely to begin in Rawlins during the morning hours of the day. The system will then shift east, and will bring showers to the rest of the southeast corner. Cheyenne can expect to see the rain in the later hours of the day, such as late evening times. These showers are not expect to become severe, as the Storm Prediction Center has only labeled this situation as a General Risk of thunderstorms.
Temperatures the past couple of days have been increasing. Much of the eastern border and northeastern corner having been experiencing temperatures in the 90s. Today, high temperatures for many cities have risen into the mid and upper 90 degree temperatures. With all of the cloud coverage this evening, low temperatures are not going to drop that much. Low temperatures will only reach into the 50s and 60s. As this system comes through tomorrow, the high temperatures will begin to drop. High temperatures tomorrow will likely be in the 70s and 80s across the state.
