Wyoming Air National Guard to host Wild West Air Show on September 10-12
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Wyoming Air National Guard has a unique experience coming up. On September 10-12, there will an opportunity to see some of the planes and aircraft from previous wars and battles.
“So, we wanted to create an event to keep people interested from start to finish. Part of keeping them interested is setting things up that are enticing the whole way through,” said Maxwell McMillan, the Air Show Director.
The Air Show will be a three day event. While Saturday and Sunday will be open to the public, Friday will only be allowed for students and educators. That day will serve as a way of informing people of what opportunities are available, with different displays encompassing the career options within the military, both away from the front lines and close to home.
STEM programs will be among the highlighted displays. First responders, Firefighters, and more will also be present at the event, making it closer to a job fair than a recruiting trip. Above all, the event is designed to highlight that there are careers that are available, no matter where you’re coming from.
“No matter where you come from, the demographic, the background, or anything else, we just want to demonstrate the opportunities you have, no matter where you come from. "
Transportation will be arranged at the frontier mall, where a bus will take people over to the event. This is done for security purposes.
