Laramie County Community College holds Agricultural Banquet

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -The Agriculture and Equine Pathway program held a banquet on Wednesday.

The banquet shared what these programs are about, and showcased their facility’s recently installed new bucking chute for their rodeo.

The programs are 2 years, and students can choose to go straight into the workforce or continue to a 4-year career in AG-Business, Equine, or Animal Science, or Range-land management.

They also have about 58 thousand dollars available in team scholarships in ranch horse teams, livestock judging, fitting and showing.

“Agriculture is a really important industry, it’s a broad industry, and we need more people to be involved in it and to communicate and educate about what the industry has in it,” said Katie Shockley,
