Clear and Warm Week Ahead
14 September 2021
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - It was an absolutely beautiful day outside today. Thanks to the second cold front coming through, we were left with mostly clear skies, cool weather, and a nice breeze. Because it is relatively dry outside and the winds are gusting in some locations, our risk of fire weather has increased resulting in new watches and warnings. The good news is the smoke forecast looks excellent. Skies will be almost, if not completely, clear of haze today and tomorrow.
Conditions look to stay this way with very few cloud cover and no precipitation expected over the next few days. Winds will be picking up going into the middle of the week with strong gusts from the west. This shouldn’t pose too much of issue, but be sure to weigh things down outside if you are planning a trip to the park during this nice weather. Tonight looks to be a great night with mostly clear skies and no rain in the forecast. With the lack of clouds, expect temperatures to be cooler with more seasonable conditions.
Lows looks to be in the lower 50s for the eastern regions, 40s for the central regions, and 30s for the western regions. I hope you were able to enjoy today because with no nearby systems, temperatures will begin warming right back up again. I don’t suspect that we will see to many 90s this week, but we can certainly expect those mid to upper 80s. The stronger gusts this week will help make it feel a little bit cooler at least. For the rest of the week, conditions will remain consistent until next week when we see a much bigger shift in our weather pattern.
