Warming Up Again After Today
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
Lots of sun to go around today! Very few clouds allows for the sun to shine quite bright. It is also still a bit chilly out with these cooler temperatures. Very light clouds are continuing to move out after this system, hence the few clouds that are floating around today.
Skies will continue to be mostly clear through the late evening. In the overnight/ early morning hours of tomorrow a line of light clouds will move through the eastern border of the state. Into the afternoon tomorrow, skies will clear out once again. Late afternoon on Wednesday, more clouds will move into the southeastern corner from the west.
The smoke is staying clear through Wednesday morning. By Wednesday afternoon, light smoke will be moving back in towards the western border from the west. Throughout Wednesday, smoke will continue pushing towards the eastern border. As the smoke moves across, a heavier pocket of the smoke will form in the southwestern corner of the state near Evanston.
With the cooler temperatures over night and the very slight chance of rain, there were several different watches, warnings and advisories this morning. In the northeastern and southeastern corners, there were Frost Advisories. Within the southern half of the state, there was also a Freeze Warning. Both the Frost Advisory and the Freeze Warning have since expired. This leaves a Fire Weather Watch in the southwestern corner. This Fire weather Watch extends from Casper to Evanston. The Fire Weather Watch is in effect until Wednesday at 8PM.
Temperatures today are continuing to be cooler than what we have experienced, though warmer than yesterday. As the end of the week approaches, temperatures will continue to climb back towards the 80s. High temperatures for today are in the 60s and lower 70s across the state. Tonight, temperatures will cool into the 30s and 40s. For tomorrow, high temperatures will begin increasing into the 70s and 80s.
