Warming Up for the Weekend and Next Week
23 September 2021
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - For the first full day of fall, we saw very nice conditions around the state with seasonable temperatures, mostly clear skies, and a slight breeze. This was thanks to the relatively weak cold front that moved through last night. Some of the smoke did sneak into the region overnight from the west prompting some new air quality warnings for areas around Riverton and Lander. Other than that, the front has shifted winds from westerly to northerly. This will help move a lot of that smoke to the southern regions of the state before moving out entirely, for now.
We did have some clouds move into the region as the front itself is beginning to slow down and move towards the east. Other than that, we don’t have very many systems coming over the next few days and changing up our weather. During that time, we can expect the clouds to stick around for a little bit and our temperatures to warm right back up into the lower 80s.
Tonight, the clouds will be sticking around, but our lows should be right where they are expected to be this time of year with mid 40s and 30s throughout much of the state. Tomorrow, temperatures and conditions are forecasted to be almost a copy and paste day to today. Not too much else going on forecast wise until the middle of next week, but the forecasts tend to be inaccurate that far out. Just go outside and enjoy today and tomorrow before the heat comes back again.
