Nice End to the Week
21 October 2021
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - In all honesty, there is not a whole lot going on in terms of weather, but nobody said that was a bad thing. Temperatures are warming up around the state with lots of highs in the 60s. That is above average for this time of year but not oppressive. Lows are in the same category. Typically we see them below the freezing mark, buy lately they have been in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Good news is that there are no warning across the state, the smoke is not an issue, and the clouds are moving out to the east. We do have some breezy conditions which are helping to move them. It was overcast this morning, and now it is mostly clear. Gusts will continue into tomorrow sticking toward the southern and central regions of the state.
They are not even really gusts by Wyoming standards, only about 25 MPH. It should not affect the high school football games too much as they will calm down going into tomorrow evening. There is another cold front starting to make it’s way towards the state. It will likely hit this weekend increasing the storm and snow chances for the northwestern corner. Beyond that, we can see a cool down going into this weekend with the chance for some isolated showers and snow in the mountains.
Tonight, temperatures will be on the warmer side with mostly upper 30s and lower 40s for the big cities with some 20s out to the west and higher elevations. Tomorrow conditions will be clear throughout much of the day and temperatures will be right about where they are today with lots of 60s all around. It looks like a nice end to the week.
