CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Yesterday, the Casper Animal Medical Center hosted a wine and paint night.

Cash for Critters Paint Night is an annual fundraiser hosted by the Casper Animal Medical Center.

“So, every single fall we usually partner with Artisan Alley and we have the fun wine and paint night. This is the first year we did the sculpture painting, and it was super fun, and there was a really great turnout,” said Casper Animal Medical Center hospital manager, Brooke Grenier.

This year, local businesses donated over two thousand dollars in goods and services. The cost of painting was split between the fundraiser and Artisan Alley. Participants got to choose to paint one of a variety of different animal planters.

In addition to painting animal sculptures, participants could bid on four silent auction items. All money from the silent auction goes into the Cash for Critters fund.

All decisions about who receives help are made on a case-by-case basis.

“The money raised tonight goes towards animals and their owners who couldn’t necessarily be able to pay for either extensive treatment, or a major surgery, or just a major cost,” said Grenier.

The event raised over a thousand dollars for the Cash for Critters fund.

Donations can be made in-person any time of year.
