CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Central Boys Basketball went (22-3) in 2020-2021 and ran roughshod over its competition en route to 4A East Regional and 4A State Championships. Though this is a mostly new-look Tribe, the program has now been to the pinnacle and understands what needs to be done to be successful.

Below are quotes from two players and the Indians’ head coach at Tuesday’s practice.

Jackson Whitworth, Junior

“We have a lot of experience with what it takes to get there now and the hardest part to do is get there the first time. I think defending it’s gonna be, not easy, but now we know what it takes. We know what you have to do to get there.”

Tagg Lain, Head Coach

“If you put a great practice together today we can “bank it” and you want to bank as many practices as you can and have them all going into the bank at the end of the year and if you do that, you got a chance to upset people.

Nate Talich, Senior

“We’re gonna be really athletic. We’re gonna be one of the bigger teams I think again. But we’re gonna work hard and we’re not just gonna let that one year be a fluke in our years and we’re gonna try and be back there again.”
