CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - It’s now summer season, and that means Primary Elections are coming up. To help Wyomingites get to know their candidates, the Boys and Girls Club in Casper is hosting a forum for Wyoming Superintendent of Public Instruction candidates on Thursday, June 23.

The forum is presented by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming and Wyoming PBS. Facilitators for the forum are Craig Blumenshine, former Wyoming PBS Sr. Public Affairs Producer, and Steve Peck, Wyoming PBS Sr. Public Affairs Producer.

The event is free and open to the public. The Boys and Girls Club will be live streaming the forum so that anyone across the state can listen in and learn more about the Republican Superintendent candidates.

All five Republican candidates were invited to participate in the forum. The single Democratic candidate will have an opportunity to participate in a general election forum closer to November.

Thursday’s forum will include questions by the facilitators, Boys & Girls Club teens in attendance, and general audience members. Attendees will be instructed on how to submit questions at the start of the forum.

“We believe it’s really important to Wyoming voters to host such a format, a forum to inform Wyoming about the candidates and what’s important to them, what are their priorities,” said Boys and Girls Club of Central Wyoming CEO Ashely Bright.

The forum will be held at 910 Barbara Street, Casper, Wyoming, and will begin at 5:30 p.m.
