East and Central went toe to toe at Okie Blanchard, with both defending their ranked status and hometown bragging rights. What entered the half at a 14-14 tie wound up becoming a 28 to 17 victory for the Thunderbirds, managing to hold the Indians at bay for their seventh-straight win in this rivalry.

Pine Bluffs looked to extend their perfect start to the season in 1A 9-man play against a Saratoga team that was riding a win streak of their own. The momentum the Panthers had going in came to a screeching halt as the Hornets continued their war path through the division. They put on another offensive clinic and cruised to a 57-12 victory.
