Central Indians complete Senior Night Sweep vs Laramie
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Laramie Plainsmen travelled to Cheyenne for Central’s Senior Night, and brought two exciting games to the party.
The Lady Plainsmen had the task of protecting their #5 ranking, a task that would end up being a tough challenge. Both squads brought speed and pressure to the opposition, with giant swings of momentum bringing the game down to a dramatic final few minutes. The Lady Indians took a lunge forward on the scoreboard, and it proved to be enough for the win.
The boys contest didn’t start off with that same level of intensity. Scoring was hard to come by, as a combined 10 points were scored through the first quarter. Central found their footing first and controlled most of the contest, but the Plainsmen were hardly out of it. Despite being down 15 going into the fourth quarter, Laramie fought back to tie it with less than a minute remaining. The comeback was nearly complete, but the Indians got the final bucket in the dying moments of the game to preserve a perfect day on the hardwood for the red and black.
