Central topples South with 31-0 start to the game

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - South and Central were the lone teams in Cheyenne for Saturday’s basketball schedule, with both meeting in Storey Gym. As the season winds down, both teams looked for strong showings to end the year on a high note.

The girls started the afternoon, with South hitting the scoreboard first. Central would quickly turn that momentum and establish a rhythm, something South just couldn’t stop throughout the contest. That makes it two straight successful outings for the Lady Indians, who beat Laramie on Friday.

The boys game followed it up, where Central would continue to roll on after their successful Friday night against Laramie. A hot 9-0 start would soon spiral into much more. The Indians finished the first quarter up 29-0, and would get 31 straight before South found their first bucket. That lead made it an easier afternoon for Central, who kept the distance for the decisive win.
