Restaurants, bars to help United Way
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - If you’re looking for an excuse to go out to eat next Thursday... here’s your justification.
The United Way of Natrona County will be holding their annual Eat, Drink & Be Caring fundraiser. Over twenty local restaurants and bars will be participating. Ten percent of proceeds made on March 9th will be given to the United Way. And you don’t have to request or specify the donation to your server. The restaurants will do it automatically.
Executive director Nikki Hawley explains how these funds will get used. “We currently work with 35 non-profits. We have a total of 54 grants that have came in from within all three counties. Because we (also) handle Converse and Campbell County. Next week we will spend two days with community members, and members from our CSC committee. We sit down for those two days and we go through a matrix system...”
The matrix system Hawley referenced helps determine how much money each charity will get.
