East, Central girls win big vs Nebraska schools
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - With weather making Wyoming’s opening weekend of soccer a bit hectic, two Cheyenne schools kept things positive on the pitch. Both East and Central hosted out-of-state competition on Saturday, with both getting wins.
Central’s girls managed to put nine goals in the back of the net in their game against Gering. Four of those came in the first half, while the other five poured in later on. This makes it a 2-0 start to the year for the Lady Indians.
East also hosted a Nebraska-based opponent in the form of Scottsbluff. After a 10-0 score line to start the year, the Lady T-Birds continued to add to the goal tally with a 4-1 win. They also begin their season with a 2-0 record.
